PSV Swimming has traditionally been one of the leading clubs in the Netherlands and has delivered multiple Olympic and world champions. Well-known swimmers such as Pieter van den Hoogenband, Inge de Bruijn, Marcel Wouda, Hinkelien Schreuder, Inge Dekker and Marleen Veldhuis have laid the foundation for their success at PSV. PSV was the first club in the Netherlands to set up a professional swimming team in the mid-1990s. The National Swimming Institute Eindhoven (NZE) was driven by successful coaches such as Jacco Verhaeren and Marcel Wouda and has been the base of what is now the high performance center of the KNZB.
Even after the split with NZE, PSV remained a very successful amateur sports team in Dutch competitive swimming. PSV has been the undisputed champion in the Dutch national swimming league since the 2013-2014 season. Our swimmers and relay teams have become regional and Dutch champions many times. The swimmers of PSV also regularly show impressive performances at international level, such as the international swimming festival in Aachen, in the World Cup circuit or even at the European championships.
In order to realize the international aspirations of the club, PSV now organizes the International Talent Trophy, to attract junior and youth swimmers from all across Europe to compete at the highest level in an innovative competition format.
